	Sandbar & Grill is that local hideway you love to discover. Tucked neatly under the pier in Monterey’s Harbor. It’s like dining on a yacht. Sandbar is located on wharf #2, the commercial wharf, and at boat level because it began as a fueling station for the boat.
Sandbar is unique in how low it sits, and guests seem to really enjoy the constant movement of boats or sea otters, literally at their elbows. Fueling was moved and over the 42 years in business selling bait, fishing gear, coffee and hot dogs has given way to current favorite local restaurant.
	Operated by chef-owner, seafood are expertly prepared. Using first class ingredients, some dishes are traditional and some are Sandbar creations. There is a full bar to enjoy your favorite beverage while looking at the boats, or joking with the staff, which seems to be popular at the Sandbar.
